题 目：Regression Analysis of Interval-Censored Failure Time Data with Random Change Point and Application to Breast Cancer Study

摘要：In this talk, we will discuss regression analysis of interval-censored failure time data when there exist random change points with the focus on variable selection. Such data can occur in, for example, clinical trials where the risk of a disease may dramatically change when some biological indexes of the human body exceed certain thresholds. For the problem, we will first present a class of linear transformation change point models and develop a sieve maximum likelihood estimation procedure. Then a penalized method will be proposed for simultaneous estimation and variable selection, and the asymptotic properties of the proposed method are established. A simulation study is conducted and indicates that the proposed methods work well in practical situations. The approaches are applied to a set of real data from a breast cancer study.

报告人简介：Dr. Jianguo Sun is Chair Professor at the Department of Statistics of Southern University of Science and Technology. Before that, he was Curator’s Distinguished Professor at the Department of Statistics of the University of Missouri. Among his academic achievements, he is the world’s leading experts and authors in the fields of interval-censored failure time data analysis and panel count data analysis. He published the first books on each of these two fields and edited two other books on interval-censored failure time data analysis. In addition, he has done some important work on AIDS and cancer research, the analysis of doubly censored data, the analysis of longitudinal data, and chemometrics. Dr. Sun has published over 300 papers and also given over 200 invited short lectures and talks. He is ASA fellow, IMS fellow and Elected Member of ISI. Currently he is serving as an Editor-in-Chief for Statistics in Biosciences and Associate Editors for several other top journals, including CSDA, Journal of Nonparametric Statistics, Lifetime Data Analysis, and Statistics in Medicine. In addition, he served as Chair of the Lifetime Data Science Section of ASA and was the President of the Internation Chinese Statistical Association.
